The Senior Project Manager will oversee projects and collaborate with medical writers, instructional designers, editors, graphic designers, and developers in creating foundational, clinically-based training for pharmaceutical sales professionals. Topics may include disease state, diagnosis, treatment, and the commercial marketplace for diseases and conditions in various therapeutic areas.

Requirements
Project Management
- Manages and executes day-to-day operational and administrative aspects of projects
- Reviews deliverables to ensure the quality of work, and alignment to client needs and goals, prior to submission to the client
- Develops timelines/project plans using Microsoft Project; communicates and coordinates project tasks and timelines with internal and external resources
- Develops and manages project budgets – including hours allotted per role and contractor or freelancer Fee Schedules
- Assigns project tasks to internal project team members and external team members
- Conducts regular check-ins that are clear and timely to track the status of project deliverables with each stakeholder – internal, external, and client via email, live or virtual calls/meetings
- Prepares contact reports to summarize discussions and action items in meetings – internal & client meetings
- Responsible for managing the submission of project deliverables for clients’ Medical, Legal, and Regulatory copy review via client submission platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, Zinc). Communicates and aligns with clients on adhering to submission standards.
Client Relationship Management
- Tactful, yet assertive communication style; able to foster positive relationships with clients and internal teams
- Interacts directly with clients on a regular basis (live and virtual); manages client expectation
- Takes ownership of, and leads client and internal teams through internal processes by providing proper direction and meaningful feedback
- Ensures solutions are sound/appropriate for the client’s needs
Strategic Thinking & Solution Orientation
- Leads discussion and collaboration with internal team members, to assess client training needs and determine appropriate solutions that meet client objectives
- Identifies opportunities to optimize training solutions – in accordance with Instructional Design principles and project budget
- Foresees potential obstacles or delays that may impede project progress or timely completion and plans and communicates accordingly
- Develops solutions to project challenges or roadblocks that may delay the successful completion of deliverables
- Assists with client proposals and presentations which may include the following: preparation of budgets and timelines, creative brainstorming sessions, writing descriptions of proposed deliverables, design team management, and proof-reading
- Stays current on industry trends through conferences, webinars, blogs, research, etc.; Shares key findings and best practices with Training Team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Instructional Design
- Works with Medical Director in determining training modalities to support curriculum for projects
- Guides writers and instructional designers in working with writing templates
- Provides detailed feedback to writers/instructional designers in tandem with Medical Director’s comments
More requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
- Familiarity with instructional design principles
- Experience collaborating with and guiding internal and external teams on designing and delivering pharmaceutical sales training projects
- Experience managing client relationships
- Expertise with Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Project
- Experience managing digital interactive training
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical review process for training materials
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work on multiple projects concurrently; able to flex and adjust priorities appropriately
- Willingness to adapt and change within a dynamic environment
- Must be self-motivated and able to meet responsibilities under pressure
- Ability to work independently to successfully deliver projects/tasks
- Some travel, including overnights, may be necessary
