This role includes development of integrated cross-platform B2B and B2C marketing campaigns to drive growth in open source projects on our client's open source platform. Working in collaboration with Marketing, the role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns for programs and its delivery to enterprise customers via both industry consortia and alliances.

The position includes constant monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the results of campaigns and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs to increase ROI and reach new audiences. The position contributes to planning on how to best execute and measure multi-channel marketing campaigns.

This role will report to the Marketing team and will also need to effectively get input from and collaborate with the Open Source operations and business development staff and volunteers. This is a contract position, and the contractor will be responsible for their own equipment and set their own working hours to meet contracted deliverables.

  • Work cross functionally and collaborates with product and content teams to gather campaign requirements and translate business needs into technical execution for email campaigns and landing pages.
  • Adhering to Marketing guidelines and processes, develop and deploy approved custom Marketing campaigns to promote live and virtual events, programs and to raise awareness
  • Recommend and draft marketing materials, including but not limited to, presentation materials, brochures, social media campaigns/posts, videos, etc.
  • Provide event support for trade shows and sponsored events
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers in the development and implementation of campaigns and materials
  • Research, recommend and develop (as approved) marketing campaigns to support other SA lead ISTO marketing.
  • Develop and manage the development of content and segmentation strategies for campaigns and editorial calendars as well as relevant content repositories.
  • Coordinate and track digital advertising initiatives.
  • Manage assigned Marketing Calendar and Media plan.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on campaign results (i.e. email campaign performance, Google Analytics, lead activity, and trackable sales).
  • Build the communication plan and data integration and flow for in-person and virtual events (i.e. webinars, trade shows, workshops), including invitations, registration process, platform vendor selection, etc.
  • Research and implement new marketing tactics and opportunities for efficiency in marketing multiple programs (i.e. dynamic content, RSS feeds, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support knowledge sharing and record of processes for internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve user experience and journey to increase conversions from websites.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Marketing communications or related field
  • 5-7 years Marketing campaign development and implementation
  • 3-5 years Open source enterprise product/service marketing
  • 5-7 years Enterprise software/cloud service marketing
  • Must have a solid understanding of marketing strategy and lead generation.
  • Must have demonstrable experience in marketing campaign/materials development and implementation with measurable results.
  • Must have experience in marketing of enterprise software/cloud service marketing. Strong preference for open source product/service experience.
  • Writing skills. Excellent written communication skills to develop successful marketing materials.
  • Good collaboration skills to manage a variety of inputs from stakeholders into marketing campaigns.
